180th AUN-QA Assessment and 1st for UBD
On 21-26 September 2020, the 180th AUN-QA Programme Assessment was conducted at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD). It is the first ever AUN-QA Assessment to be conducted at the university. This assessment continues the trend of successful productive AUN-QA Assessments that utilize online/remote site visits with new universities joining in.

New directions and the role of international university associations in strengthening cooperation between universities during the global crisis
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the world and caused a sudden shift in all aspects of society, forcing rapid changes that we have never witnessed before within such a short time. The UM International Webinar Series 5 invited 3 prominent associations (AUN, APRU, and AUA) to share and discuss how each organization is adapting and adopting new measures to ensure the continuity of their activities and also explored insights from the three university associations leaders on their response towards the COVID-19 pandemic.

Post COVID-19 opportunities and insights from the lenses of university students in ASEAN and China
The Young SEAkers ASEAN-China Youth Forum is a c roundtable session that was a part of the FutureChina Global Forum 2020. The Youth Forum seeks to complement the main forum by providing a platform for youths to express their opinions. This is the first time the youth forum is explicitly open to participants from across the ASEAN region.
This panel session explored the opportunities post COVID-19 and insights from the perspective of university students in ASEAN and China regarding the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on students’ activity and expectations.

Newly unveiled Human Resource Development Roadmap displays the vision of ASEAN leaders toward a dynamic labour market
On 15-16 September 2020, Viet Nam, the current chair of ASEAN, hosted the ASEAN High-Level Conference on Human Resources Development (HRD) in a Changing World. This virtual conference provides a space for delegates of ASEAN countries, intergovernmental organizations as well as transnational organizations to share their experiences in working in the HRD area in the ASEAN region. One of the most important agendas this year was to launch the “Roadmap of the ASEAN Declaration on Human Resources Development for the Changing World of Work”, which covers the HRD work plans of many ASEAN sectoral bodies.

You are formally invited to join AUN-EEC's first conference, hosted by the Ateneo de Manila University, which will be held online on Thursday, 12 November 2020 at 08.00 am – 11 am (GMT +7) and 13.00 pm – 15.00 pm (GMT+7) via Zoom with the theme “Cultivating Ecological Mindsets and Lifestyles”.
The Conference will involve plenary speakers from various ASEAN universities, who will be discussing on a range of topics such as information, Education and Communication (IEC) strategies towards sustainable lifestyle and behavior, the role of ASEAN graduates with ecological mindsets, and many more!

Registrations open now for FPT Research Festival 2020!
Research Festival (RESFES 2020) is a specialized contest to share and exchange knowledge and experience about science – technology, business administration, languages, etc. between students of FPT Education and other universities.
This year, the theme of RESFES is "What should we do if the global pandemic happens?" Students will be asked to do research to come up with solutions for all aspects of society from economics to medical technology. They will be split into four subcommittees focusing on different fields: Information Technology, Graphic Design, Business Administration and Languages.
